About the event

Data is abundant across rail infrastructure. But action is not.

This workshop explores the space between information and intervention, examining why evidence sometimes accelerates decision-making, and why at other times it leads to hesitation, delay or over-analysis.

We will focus on:

  • How thresholds are set — and who sets them

  • The role of confidence, assurance and risk appetite

  • Where uncertainty creates decision paralysis
